In this article we listed all our personal favourite hotels in the Gili Islands and they are all cozy, beautiful, with a good location and excellent rated. And the best part: all at an affordable price.
Absolute Villa
This was our first stay in Gili T for the first 3 days and it couldn’t be more pleasant. The hotel is located towards the middle of the island, about 5 minutes bicycle ride from the busy main strip and it's a similar distance to the other side of the island where there are also bars, restaurants and fantastic sunsets.
Being in the centre of the islands it's nice and quiet, and they've got a great swimming pool.
The bungalow room was great, with a really comfortable bed, excellent air conditioning. and a lovely outdoor bathroom. The breakfast was amazing with plenty of choices, and the staff were really friendly and helpful.
To reduce plastic and ensure guests are hydrated, there is a fridge where you can take reusable water bottles with as much fresh water as you like (which was a really nice touch because it was so hot).
We would say that value for money is our most recommended stay on Gili T. This hotel costs £35 per night (with breakfast included) an amazing deal, right?
Kuno Villas
Kuno Villas was our second choice in Gili T. We were looking for something more luxurious and thought this might be a good option for a 2 night stay.
The location is great, 10 minutes by bike from the central market and 2 minutes walk to the beach and yoga sunset (which is a beautiful place where Andreia did a yoga morning flow class). The resort is beautifully designed with a pool right in front of your room. The rooms are spotless with an outdoor bathtub and attentive staff. However, we had frogs in our bathroom during the night (if you don't like frogs this can be a bad experience). Breakfast was the highlight (compared to the other places we've stayed), offering lots of healthy and organic options. We had a nutritious natural fruit/vegetable juice with a delicious toast with avocado and poached eggs and on the second day we tried the banana and oat pancakes.
Coco Cabana
This was our choice for the last few days in the Gili Islands and we were honestly blown away by the price we paid for such an amazing stay.
We decided to stay at Gili T for one more day (we were really enjoying it) and booked this stay the night before.
When we arrived our room wasn't ready and we went to the pool to relax a bit. The staff were so friendly, we ended up taking pictures of them and with them (we love interacting with the local people and they were lovely).
The room was better than we expected and the balcony was perfect overlooking the pool and the beautiful palm trees, such a peaceful place with all the amenities we needed.
Breakfast was simple, but we can't ask for everything for just £35 per night, right? The overall experience was pleasant and we fully recommend it.
